Manisha Koirala Breaks Silence On Oral Sex Scene with Shekhar Suman
In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Manisha expressed, “I was in Nepal doing gardening when I got a call from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office. Sanjay said on call, ‘Manisha there is a good role for you, just read the script.’ I was so happy. I had stopped dreaming about working with him (sic).” Manisha revealed she wasn’t entirely briefed on the details of the scene with Shekhar. Koirala further added, “See, every little thing Sanjay does, he tries to bring in a new element that we hadn’t thought of, and he does it. So even about this scene, when rehearsals were going on, it must have been new (sic).”

Shekar revealed an interesting detail where Bhansali almost agreed to drop the sequence at the very last minute. Earlier in the conversation with Zoom, Shekhar mentioned, “Normally like any other actor, I just went completely prepared with my line what was given to me with my own interpretation. When the scene was just about to begin, he called me and said, ‘I have thought of a bizarre interpretation of this. Are you open to it?’ I said, ‘Yes’, and he completely turned it around and it was something that nobody had thought (sic).”
Shekar added, “The scene is about a nawab who is peeing out of a carriage, and in his state of inebriation is trying to make out with Mallikajaan. Bhansali wanted the nawab to turn around, and get fellatio mid-air, thinking that Mallikajaan is sitting on that side. And he’s convinced. It was a strange interpretation, and it hasn’t been done by anybody before, somebody having sex mid-air. He said, ‘I’m fine if you say no, if you find it too bizarre’ (sic).”
