Yankees Mariano Rivera Lists New York Estate For $4 Million

New York Yankees Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera just listed his Westchester, New York mansion for nearly $4 million. And one thing is certain: the closer will seal the deal—fast. Every diehard baseball fan knows that’s what “Mo” does. Guaranteed. You can virtually hear Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” theme song playing as Rivera takes the field. Game over.

Rivera was baseball’s most dominant relief pitcher, ever, recording 652 career saves (51 more than the next player). He revolutionized the closer role with his unhittable pitch—the cutter, which splintered more wood than a landscaper’s tree shredder after a hurricane.

Rivera won five World Series with the Yankees and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019, the first player unanimously selected to the game’s elite fraternity.

Yes, he was that great—immortalized by a plaque and retired number in Yankee Stadium’s Monument Park museum with the likes of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, and Yogi Berra, among others.

The Yankees legend and his family chose to reside in Rye, New York at this 13,050-square-foot, cul-de-sac estate on 1.7 acres of lush “resort-like grounds.” The residence boasts a stacked lineup of fireplaces, entertainment rooms (pool deck, home theater, sports bar and game rooms), a gym, home office, and formal elliptical-shaped, European-style interiors.

With kids now out of his bullpen, Rivera is retiring from this nine bedroom, eight-and-a-half bathroom estate at 1 Brook View Lane. The save king ruled Yankee Stadium for 19 years, but his personal palace appears built especially for Yankees royalty.

The residence opens through double doors to a foyer with twin grand staircases beneath soaring coffered ceilings, crystal chandelier and balcony overlook, flanked by arched room entrances reminiscent of Yankee Stadium’s towering façade arches.

A large formal elliptical-shaped family room is warmed by a fireplace, a grand chandelier and a piano lounge brightened by curved windows.

The stone fireplace living room with French doors and butler’s pantry is topped by monumental wood-coffered ceilings and lantern lights.

The adjacent kitchen with double sinks includes dark cabinets, marble counters, and large eat-in island over hardwood floors. A domed, light-filled breakfast room overlooks the pool deck.

The palatial dining room offers an opulent Versailles vibe with dual candelabras, grand fireplace and a windowed tea-sitting nook at the elliptical space’s far end.

The expansive fireplace-and-chandelier master suite includes a large sitting room with another fireplace, TV as well as a huge walk-in closet and luxury bath.

An in-law suite features a second kitchen and a sleeper attic that serves as another comfy family room.

Rivera entertained teammates in his home movie theater, sports bar and recreation game rooms with a pool table and video games—a champion team-bonding space.

The home also boasts laundry and mudrooms, a gated motor court, and three car garage. It’s conveniently located near country clubs, shopping centers and local freeways.

Mariano Rivera was the ultimate closer. But with this estate he’ll get a double-play assist from Heather Harrison and Alex Grapstein of Compass who hold the listing. If ever a mansion was guaranteed to close fast, it’s this one.
