Xiaomi’s flip phone in the Mix series could have a similar design

Xiaomi’s new Mix device could be a flip Android smartphone that could compete with brands like Samsung, Motorola and Oppo.

Xiaomi has launched multiple Mix fold devices in recent years but the company could finally enter the flip foldable arena as well. The company’s rumoured flip model has leaked in full glory which suggests the launch date might not be far away.

Flip phones have traditionally commanded higher interest because of the form factor and its lower pricing than the regular fold devices. Xiaomi has relied on the Mix lineup for its Fold phones and it could bring the Flip model under this series as well.

Xiaomi Flip Phone Leak: All Details

Going by the recent leak, the Xiaomi flip phone will feature a clamshell design similar to the Moto Razr 40 Ultra or the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 model. The list of the device suggests the flip phone will support 67W charging speed which is better than Samsung’s supported speed. We don’t have more details about the flip model for now, but it is likely to debut in China very soon.

Earlier rumours claim the Xiaomi Mix Flip (supposed name), will feature two cameras at the back that will sit above the big outer screen. Xiaomi should power the device with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and it might pack a 4,900mAh battery which is a hefty unit for foldables in general. We’re hoping to see Xiaomi talk more about its flip phone in public ahead of the launch. Xiaomi will go up against Samsung, Motorola and even Oppo which has the reliable Find N3 Flip in the market.

Samsung is also expected to upgrade its foldable lineup with many claiming that the company will host the next edition of the Galaxy Unpacked event featuring the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in July this year. The event is expected to coincide with the Paris Olympics happening in the same month. We could soon have another battle between Samsung and Xiaomi in the foldable market.
