Xiaomi has launched its biggest Redmi smart TV model in India
Xiaomi’s Redmi TV lineup gets its biggest display model in the market and powered by Fire TV OS platform means Alexa comes by default.
Xiaomi has refreshed its Redmi Smart Fire TV series with the launch of two new models in the Indian market this week. The new Redmi Smart TV lineup has a 43-inch and a 55-inch variant in the Indian market. This is the first time the company has introduced a 55-inch Fire TV in the market. The main highlight of these Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K series is that they come with an inbuilt Alexa voice assistant and Fire TV OS instead of the Google TV operating system which was also available on the previous Redmi TV models.
Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 2024 Series: Price, Availability
The 43-inch variant of the Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K 2024 series starts at Rs 23,499. The 55-inch model is priced at Rs 34,499. Both models will go on sale from September 18. Interested buyers can purchase the smart TVs from the official website, Mi.com or Flipkart.

The 2024 edition of the Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K series comes with a metal bezel-less design and provides an immersive movie experience with borderless design on 3 sides. It features a 4K HDR display, Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology for video processing and a built-in Fire TV.
With Fire OS 7 integration, smart TV users can stream more than a million movies and TV shows with access to more than 12,000 apps via the inbuilt App Store and browse and watch content across over-the-top (OTT) platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+Hotstar, JioCinema and more. Users can also stream for free with MX Player, miniTV and more.
Both the models are equipped with a 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 8GB of inbuilt storage and 2GB of RAM for a seamless overall experience. The 43-inch variant includes a thrilling 24W sound and the 55-inch model is equipped with a 30W speaker system.
For connectivity, the Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K boasts Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, AirPlay 2 and Miracast. The device can also be set up to share photos, stream videos, and connect to external speakers/headphones.
In addition to that, the smart TV offers picture-in-picture mode technology for multitasking. It also supports Alexa voice commands to control the TV and search content verbally. Alexa can also help with video recommendations. Furthermore, the tech giant states the smart TV can act as a central hub for other Alexa-compatible smart appliances that can be controlled via voice.
It comes with a minimalistic design with a dedicated Alexa button, navigation buttons, a guide button and dedicated OTT app buttons such as Prime Video, Netflix and Amazon Music.
