The Mirchi Music Awards initiative goes beyond celebrating the current generation of musical stars; it also honours the legendary artists who have made unforgettable contributions to Bengali music. This year, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the legendary Promita Mitra. A revered exponent of Rabindra Sangeet, Mitra has carried the essence of this unique musical genre to audiences worldwide. Additionally, the Special Jury Award for Outstanding Contribution to Bengali Music was conferred upon Pratap Roy, a pivotal figure behind numerous memorable Bengali and Hindi hits across generations.
