Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo starrer Wicked gets a new release date. The movie will no longer compete against Moana 2 during release. The makers have decided to release the movie on November 22, five days before the previously decided schedule.
It was supposed to hit the theatres on November 27. However, it is set to release on the same date as Gladiator II now, which might create another Barbie vs. Oppenheimer, a.k.a., Barbenheimer situation.
Alongside Ariana and Cynthia, the movie will star Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Shiz University headmaster Madame Morrible, Ethan Slater as Boq, and Bowen Yang as Pfannee. It will also supposedly feature the classic songs like Defying Gravity and Popular.
