Why Luke Bryan Chose To Partner With Jockey For Their Outdoors Collection

the American Idol Judge and AMA winner has been a longtime supporter of the brand before becoming ambassador

It was their shared family values- because Jockey is a family owned company- of why the famed manufacturer of underwear and sportswear approached Country Music star Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline to be their brand ambassadors. Luke has had 29 No.1 hits and has 68.5 million RIAA certified digital singles, more than any other Country Music artist. And, his worldwide music streams are around 19 billion, along with winning over 50 major music awards. Launching the Jockey Outdoors™ Collection by Luke Bryan of flannel shirts, t-shirts, outdoor pants, quilted jackets, and fleece pullovers, was a no brainer for Jockey and for Luke and Caroline. It’s ideal for the man living his best outdoor life.

Commitment and endurance were appealing to Jockey too. “With 13 years of marriage under their belt, they show that commitment, hard work, and a playful sense of humor are the recipe for a rock-solid foundation,” notes Jockey on their website. At 140 years old the company sees the Bryan’s 13 years of marriage and their [Jockey’s] century and two score + six years as the secret recipe for these same shared values. “We were approached by Jockey a while back and have truly enjoyed our partnership. They are a family owned company and make really comfortable and good quality clothing that I feel confident attaching my name to,” says Luke.

Also, the fact that Luke and Caroline care for and nurture their children, taking in and caring for his sister and brother-in-law’s children after they died falls in line with the Jockey Being Family Foundation’s, Ltd. vision and goals.

The great thing about the style of Country male artists is that it’s simple yet quintessential. “We both love clothes that are versatile with our life,” says Luke of he and Caroline’s style and lifestyle. “We spend a lot of time outside and we need clothes that are comfortable for that. Whether that be fishing, picking up our kids from school, attending their sports activities or me traveling on the tour bus. It all works great.”

Even before their partnership with Jockey, Luke and Caroline were Jockey wearers. “The soft t-shirts for me and their tanks for Caroline, have been go-tos,” he laughs.

Jockey was strategic with the craftsmanship of the pieces in the collection. Incorporating layers, premium fabrics, and performance technology for the man that loves the outdoors. They were keen to eliminate any bulkage so that the parts a man wants to keep covered outdoors stay covered. “It was all a collaborative effort, they really cared about my input and took such care with the details, which I am so excited about this line,” muses Luke.

The collection includes long-sleeve performance fishing shirts with vertical ventilation for those all-day or weekend fishing trips with the guys. The flannel shirts come in various colors like russle plaid, etowah plaid, oliver plaid, and proto plaid. Pants with 5 pockets, or pants that can be converted to shorts with a zip, cargo pants, utility pants, and flannel lined pants are all crafted in a way that covers the outdoor male spirit. And, crew neck t-shirts made with antimicrobial fabric, are made for all-day comfort and UPF 40+ protection. The moisture wicking aids in sweating protection and the front shoulder seams ensure comfort and layering.

Luke has had a busy past few years and 2022 is no different. He’s a judge on American Idol, he’s on tour, and he’s hosting the CMA Awards this week, on Wednesday evening with Peyton Manning that will air live on ABC at 8/7c. But he manages to balance all. “My schedule is always full, but I make it a priority to be present with my family when I am at home.” This all ties back into his family values and why he and Caroline partnered with Jockey, because when he’s home, being a dad of boys, they can be found outside. “My boys really enjoy anything outdoors and that allows us time to be together,” he points out.

Now through the end of the year, Jockey will donate sales from the collection to adoptive and foster families in the US, a cause that Jockey has supported since 2005 through their Foundation. The items make for the perfect Christmas gifts, and can be purchased at Jockey.com/Outdoors, Jockey retail stores, BassPro.com (coming soon), and at select retailers in 2023.

“I can’t think of a better fit for my lifestyle than Jockey Outdoors. I have always been vocal about loving anything outdoors, this is a dream collaboration,” says Luke.
