The Monaco GP was off to a disastrous start as the red flag was called right as the race started. The commentators described it as a ‘monster of an accident’, which saw the likes of Kevin Magnussen and Niko Hulkenberg being taken out of commission following the crash.

Some of the drivers took advantage of the 40-minute long break and switched their tyres as well. The crash also result in Esteban Ocon crashing out as well which was not ideal for the Alpine side.

While the drama unfolded in the very first lap, the rest of the race ended up being a very dull affair with Leclerc leading the pack followed by McLaren’s Oscar Piastri at second. Sainz took the third spot while his former teammate Lando Norris took fourth followed by George Russell at fifth and Verstappen at sixth.

The top six hardly exchanged positions as there was a significant gap between each other which resulted in the race being a highly dull affair.
