The trailer for Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film Ae Watan Mere Watan has been released, with the movie scheduled for an OTT release on March 21.
Set against the backdrop of India’s fight for independence and the Quit India Movement, the film features Sara Ali Khan in a prominent role as she takes on the British and establishes an underground radio station to spread messages of unity.
The trailer is emotionally stirring, offering a glimpse into the struggles of Indians during the British Raj. Sara Ali Khan portrays the character of 22-year-old Usha, based on true events from that time.
Directed by Kanna Iyer, the film boasts a talented cast including Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’ Nell, and Anand Tiwari, with a special appearance by Emraan Harshmi. Produced under the Dharma Productions banner, the movie is helmed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. It is set to release on a leading OTT platform.
Apart from this project, Sara Ali Khan will also be seen in Metro In Dino alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, directed by Anurag Basu, and Murder Mubarak alongside Karisma Kapoor, Vijay Varma, and Pankaj Tripathi, directed by Homi Adajania.
