Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr turned heads ahead of the CFP National Championship game after arriving to the stadium in a ski mask and white shades.

The Heisman finalist has been outstanding this season and led the Huskies to a Pac-12 Conference championship and a undefeated record.

Monday night’s title game against Michigan will be the final game of Penix’s collegiate career no matter the outcome.

And when he turned up in Houston on Monday, only Penix’s hands were completely visible. Almost his entire face was covered by the mask and sunglasses inside NRG Stadium.

‘He either dropping 500 (yards) and four TDs or throwing 4 INTs no in between,’ one fan said on X after seeing Penix’s outfit.

Penix spent the first four years of his college career at Indiana before transferring to Washington.

This is Washington’s second appearance in the College Football Playoff, with last week’s Sugar Bowl victory representing the program’s only CFP win entering the national championship.

Washington was left out of the 2000 BCS national championship game as the No 3 team in the country, with Oklahoma and Florida State competing instead.

Overall, Washington, with Penix at quarterback, has won its last 21 games. He was a Heisman finalist this season, losing the award to fellow NFL-bound quarterback Jayden Daniels.
