Vikram recently visited Bengaluru to promote his new movie, Thangalaan. During an interview, the actor noted that the role he plays in the movie is one of the most difficult roles he has played till date.
Speaking during the event, he added, “I’ve played many unique roles in films like Anniyan and Pithamagan, but Thangalaan is a standout. This is the most difficult film of my career. We encountered numerous challenges in every scene, including injuries during the shoot. Even the romantic scenes were tough.”
Opening up on the challenges that he came across while playing the character, he said, “The real challenge was portraying characters from the British colonial era and indigenous tribes—people we didn’t fully understand. We had to embody them, not just act like them. It felt like we were transported back a century.”
The movie stars Vikram and Malavika Mohanan. It is slated to hit the theatres on August 15, 2024.
