Vijay Varma, known for his impactful roles in Pink, Mirzapur, and Gully Boy, recently opened up about his skin condition, vitiligo, and why he hides it in his films. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he covers his vitiligo during shoots to prevent it from distracting the audience. “I don’t want my audience to look at anything else except for what I want to show them,” he explained.
Vijay shared that while he covers his vitiligo for his on-screen roles, he doesn’t bother to hide it in his public appearances. He emphasized that he hasn’t faced negative comments about his condition and views it as a cosmetic issue rather than a significant concern. Reflecting on his 12-year journey in the industry, Varma admitted that he initially feared his condition might hinder his career, but it has not been a problem since achieving success.
Currently, Vijay Varma is starring in the OTT series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, where he plays the role of Captain Devi Sharan, the pilot of the 1999 hijacked Indian Airlines Flight 814.
