On Monday, Vijay Deverakonda attended a celebration of the success of his movie Kushi in Visakhapatnam. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay both appear in the romantic comedy. Offering his fans at the ceremony a pleasant surprise, Vijay declared that he will give each of 100 households one lakh rupees as part of his plan to share not just his happiness but also his revenues from the movie.
“I am announcing the distribution of one crore rupees to 100 families in order to share my joy with you. Each of the 100 families will receive one lakh rupees. This money is from my personal account,” he addressed the audience while on stage in Telugu, to tremendous applause. He sent 100 of his followers to Manali earlier this year on an all-expenses-paid excursion.
Vijay reportedly stated that he wanted to make his parents happy, make decent money, and gain respect from others, according to a news source. He declared that going forward, he has made the decision to work for his fans, who, despite fake reviews and negative remarks about the movie, are what have made Kushi so successful. He claimed that while others were waging a divisive campaign against the movie, the love of his audience had triumphed. As he vowed to deliver the money to 100 households within a week or ten days and pledged to share his winnings with his supporters, he nearly broke down in tears.
