Hyderabad: Telugu actor Vijay Devrakonda usually makes headlines regarding his rumoured relationship with Bollywood diva Rashmika Mandanna. This time the Liger actor shared his insights on not working with with debut directors. Deverakonda in a conversation with Indiaglitz where he came to promote his upcoming film ‘The Family Star’ featuring Mrunal Thakur in the lead role. Why Vijay Deverakonda Doesn’t Prefer To Work with Debut Directors?

During a candid conversation with the media agency, Vijay Deverakonda shared his approach to working with debut directors in the Tamil cinema industry. Sharing his insights, Vijay was not open to collaborating with the new directors. He also mentioned that the newcomers must have directed at least one film in their career. The Telugu actor added, “I don’t work with debutant now. At least there needs to be one film old.

Talking about the circumstances of working with debutants, Vijay showed his disinterest. The reason he disapproves of working with newcomers is that he sees it as a challenge. According to him, Vijay takes an approach where there are no barriers in the production procedure, regarding the budget and scaling the project from the beginning.

Vijay revealed, “It’s a huge challenge when you come straight on to a set, It is a lot of pressure to handle the budget and scale. When they do one film old, all of us get better with every film your first film just gets you into the groove (sic).”

Vijay then later compares working with debutants to playing a practice match or a warm-up match. He shares the importance of working with experienced directors who know how to utilize their talent. Vijay remarked, “I need them (directors) warm and ready for me, because when I come I come all out, I need them to be ready and exploit me and use me (sic).”
