Veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, father of actor Armaan Kohli passed away at the age of 93 on Friday. He was best known for his films like Nagin, Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani and Badle Ki Aag. He reportedly died of a heart attack.
As per multiple reports, Rajkumar Kohli passed away after he went in for a shower. When he didn’t come out for a while, his son Armaan broke open the door and found him on the floor. He was later declared dead after he was rushed to a hospital.
Rajkumar Kohli’s last rites will reportedly take place today.
Rajkumar Kohli joined the film industry in 1963 with his debut directorial film Sapni which featured Prem Chopra in the lead role. Many of his films featured Sunil Dutt and Dharmendra.
Kohli also launched his son Armaan in movies. He directed him in films like Virodhi and Qahar.
He is survived by his wife Nishi, Armaan and Rajnish Kohli.
