Tottenham may have signed Radu Dragusin but that hasn’t prevented them from maintaining a watching brief on Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
Transfer Confidential readers are well aware that the highly-rated 21-year-old has drawn attention from Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City while Chelsea have also registered interest ahead of the summer.
Tottenham were thought to have dropped interest after signing Dragusin this month but they remain the hunt as they prepare to build their squad further in the summer. Branthwaite’s homegrown status is another attraction for Premier League sides.
Tottenham are continuing discussions with Bruges over a deal for winger Antonio Nusa this week and are awaiting late offers for midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Napoli were interested but are focusing on Nottingham Forest‘s Orel Mangala. There has also been interest in Ryan Sessegnon who is looking to get more game time.
Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are weighing up a new offer for Tottenham defender Emerson Royal after their bid of around £20m was rejected.
Despite playing a bit-part role in Ange Postecoglou‘s side so far this season, the Brazilian is needed as defensive cover at least until the end of the campaign.
The north London side have been troubled with injuries throughout 2023-24 and Royal has, on more than one occasion, stepped up when called upon.
The Brazilian, alongside fellow full-back Ben Davies, has filled in at centre-back in recent months amid injuries to first-choice options Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
However, since the return of the Argentinian and Dutch defenders, Royal has been subjected to the bench – with Spaniard Pedro Porro preferred at right-back.
Spurs already added Romanian defender Radu Dragusin to their ranks earlier this month
Al-Nassr had been keen to add the Brazilian to their squad, which boasts talents such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte.
Royal, who arrived at Tottenham for £25million back in 2021, has made 93 appearances in all competitions for the north London side.
