Tom Glynn-Carney on playing King Aegon II in House of the Dragon 2

Game of Thrones’ highly anticipated spin-off series House of the Dragon is back. Season 2 is an all-out clash between ‘The Blacks’ and ‘The Greens’ as a fiery war is inevitable. Actor Tom Glynn-Carney who is back playing King Aegon II, opens up about his character.

In a statement, Tom Glynn-Carney shared that he doesn’t judge his character. “You should never, as an actor, judge a character because I feel like if you judge them, you might dislike them and that’s not good. So, you must learn to love them by whatever means that takes,” he said.

He added, “Regardless, I don’t dislike Aegon. I think he’s immensely troubled and very complex, for good reasons. I think he has abandonment issues and I think he has a guilt complex. I also think he feels inadequate and invisible, or he has been in the past, to his family.”
