BREAKING NEWS: Tom Dean and Duncan Scott win Olympic gold and silver medals for Team GB in men’s 200m freestyle to add to Adam Peaty’s 100m breaststroke success
Tom Dean has become an Olympic champion for the first time after winning gold in the 200m freestyle, with fellow Team GB member Duncan Scott taking silver.
Scott qualified for the final fastest with a time of 1:44.60, while Tom Dean finished fourth in the same semi-final but his time of 1:45.34.
And the duo delivered a brilliant performance in the pool to back up Adam Peaty‘s 100m breaststroke gold on Monday by dominating the gold and silver medals in the 200m freestyle.
