Gurucharan Singh, known for his role in the TV show “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” caught the public eye when he was unexpectedly absent for around a month this year. After being out of the spotlight for 25 days, he made his comeback in Mumbai. Subsequently, in a candid chat with Telly Talk, Gurucharan revealed his parents’ reaction to his long disappearance and eventual return. Scroll down to find more details.
During the interview, Gurucharan was asked how his parents reacted when he came back home. He then shared his answer. He said, “Raat ka time tha… mom bahar aayi mon mereko pehchaan hi nahi paayi actually. Unhone andar jaake bola dekho koi bahar aya he. Kyuki raat ka time tha, 2 baj rahe honge. Uske baad daddy aye aur unhone bola, ‘Arre ye toh apna Sonu hai!’ (I came back home at around 2 am. I rang the bell and mother came out. She couldn’t even recognise me at first. It was dark out and it was quite late. She then asked my father to come out and see and he said ‘its’ our son,’) (sic).”
Her further continued, “Woh itni khush hui, ki upar ka button dabake darwaaza khola. Main upar gaya. Aur phir hum kaafi der tak teeno mil ke rote rahe. Woh khushi ke aansu the (She was so happy and pressed a button to open the door. I went up. Then we three stayed up and cried for a long time. They were tears of happiness)! (sic).”
Gurucharan has confirmed his return and is all set to dive back into his work. He chose to remain silent on the whispers about his marital status. In due time, he plans on making a public announcement to clarify any misconceptions about his private life.
Gurucharan, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the well-liked TV series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, had a flight booked from Delhi to Mumbai on the evening of April 22. Unfortunately, he failed to reach his expected destination. On getting back to his Delhi residence, he was questioned by Delhi Police and his account was officially recorded in a local court.
