Tito Jackson, a legendary member of the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson’s brother has died at the age of 70. According to Variety and confirmed by Steve Manning, Tito passed away on Sunday. Manning mentioned that Tito might have suffered a heart attack while driving, though the official cause of death remains undetermined.
Tito Jackson had been actively performing recently with his brothers Marlon and Jackie under the Jacksons name. He continued to engage audiences as a blues guitarist, performing with the B.B. King Blues Band and recording solo as well. Tito’s contributions to music were immense, with the Jackson 5 achieving global fame in the late ’60s and early ’70s with hits like I Want You Back and ABC.
Tito Jackson also received three Grammy nominations during his career. He will be remembered for his lasting impact on the music industry.
