After Thor: Love and Thunder, it looks like Thor 5 is in development at Marvel Studios. Amidst uncertainties, director Taika Waititi has sparked speculation around the next instalment centred around the God of Thunder.
In Thor: Love and Thunder The Official Movie Special book Taika Waititi revealed what he would do if the opportunity to direct Thor 5 comes by. He said, “What is left to do to him? It’s got to be something that feels like it’s carrying on with the evolution of the character, but still in a very fun way and still giving him things to come up against that feel like they’re building on the obstacles that he has to overcome.”
He added, “I don’t think we can have a villain that’s weaker than Hela. I feel like we need to step up from there and add a villain that’s somehow more formidable.” Hela was played by Cate Blanchett in Thor: Ragnarok.
Back in June, actor Chris Hemsworth revealed that his return as Thor is not confirmed. The actor said that he would be happy to reprise the role but he doesn’t have an answer about a sequel yet.
