Sunny Deol made a terrific comeback with Gadar 2 last year, breaking office records. While the actor, has been grabbing headlines for his upcoming projects, very little is know about his personal life especially his wife Pooja Deol.
Sunny Deol is married to Pooja Deol for over 40 years. They got married in a secret ceremony in England in 1984. Pooja’s real name is Lynda and is half British by birth as her mother, June Sarah Mahal, married an Indian man. Reports state that Sunny Deol and Pooja Deol got married after the release of his debut film Betab. He was seen opposite Amrita Singh in the film.
Sunny kept his marriage to Pooja private for many years, possibly because he was establishing himself in the film industry and wanted to focus on his professional life. He managed to keep this secret for many years, however, when a magazine reportedly leaked pictures of his secret wedding with Pooja Deol, the news came to the limelight.
Despite their marriage, Pooja and Sunny chose to live in different countries. Pooja continues to live in London while Sunny lives in Mumbai. Some feel that the reason behind their unhappy marriage, primarily is due to Sunny Deol’s affairs, the biggest one is Dimple Kapadia which reportedly continues even today.
In 1990, Sunny Deol and Pooja Deol was blessed with their first child, Karan Deol. They have another son Rajvir Singh Deol.
