Why This Actor Remained Single?
Hema Malini and Sanjeev Kumar fell In love around 1973. They even decided to marry each other. Sanjeev Kumar’s family went down to the actress’ home to to decide on the nuances of the marriage. However, when Kumar and his mother asked Hema Malini to quit acting and not work after wedding, it was a deal breaker.
Later, actress Sulakshana Pandit did propose him but he politely declined.
It is said that Sanjeev Kumar was believed to be under some family curse that caused tragedy in generations. The men lost their fathers at early age. Fearing the unknown, he decided to stay single because he was haunted at the idea if he marries and have children, another tragedy might strike the family.
After already having had a bypass, he suffered another major heart attack at the age of 47 that lead to the untimely demise of the actor. In fact, around 10 movies were released posthumously that last being ‘Professor ki Padosan’ (1993).
