The Russo Brothers – Joe and Anthony Russo, best known for their Marvel films are fresh off the success of their latest film The Gray Man. The star-studded thriller featured Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas and marked the Hollywood debut of Dhanush. While the duo’s love for India is known, they were recently asked which Indian actress they’d pick to play the new Captain Marvel.
In a recent interaction, the Russo Brothers were asked to pick between Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra as the next hypothetical Captain Marvel (the role is essayed by Brie Larson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). To this, they said, “We have to pick Priyanka. [We are] Huge fans, big fans. We are very good friends.”
They added, “We are working on a project. We are producing a show, Citadel.”
The Russo Brothers are onboard as producers for the spy thriller series Citadel which stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden.
Priyanka Chopra has been offering glimpses from behind the scenes of Citadel. Apart from the show, she’s also set to appear in It’s All Coming Back To Me and Jee Le Zaraa.
