The makers of PK were offered Rs. 1.5 crore for Aamir Khan’s transistor in…

Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani struck gold at the box-office once again with PK. The film also featured Anushka Sharma in the lead. In the film, Aamir played the titular role of PK, an alien who comes down on earth to observe our lifestyle.

The film managed to make plenty of headlines ever since the first poster was unveiled. The poster featured a nude Aamir Khan posing with a transistor. Now, while the poster did get a lot of attention it seemed that people were so intrigued by it that they even wanted to buy the transistor… at any cost. Reports claimed that the makers of the film had an offer worth 1.5 crore from an auction site for the transistor which was purchased for a mere Rs 227 from Mumbai’s Chor Bazaar. A source close to the film had confirmed the same during an interview with a leading daily. The source stated, “We have been offered a lot of money for the transistor. Aamir feels that something so integral and important to his character shouldn’t be given away.”

The team of the film decided to keep the transistor as a memento.
