NEW DELHI: India pacer Mohammed Siraj tickled his funny bone at the end of the third day of the third Test against England in Rajkot on Saturday. Siraj left everyone in splits with his humourous comment on Dinesh Karthik, who was commentating for the official broadcaster.
Following his interview with Karthik on Jio Cinema, Siraj concluded the chat by mentioning that he plans to catch up with the wicket-keeper batter in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024, where they both will play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).The funny incident unfolded when Karthik enquired about Siraj’s break from the second Test match in Vizag.
“I did nothing. I was with my family, I enjoyed, 5 days I took a break, and then I trained at home. I was missing Jasprit (Bumrah) bhai’s yorkers from home, so I thought that I will do it here in Rajkot,” Mohammed Siraj said.
“Thank you DK bhai, see you in RCB,” Siraj said, leaving everyone in splits in the commentary box.

With eight wickets in hand, India extended their overall lead to 322. The home team faces the challenge of completing the match with only 10 players, as Ravichandran Ashwin withdrew on Friday night citing a family emergency.
Siraj (4-84) and Kuldeep Yadav (2-77) made up for the off-spinner’s absence as they combined to skittle out England – who had started the day on a solid 207-2 – for 319 in reply to India’s first innings total of 445.
