The first full-length trailer of Thank God starring Ajay Devgn and Siddharth Malhotra is out. Directed by Indra Kumar, who is best known for films like Dhamaal, the film is a social comedy with a mythological twist.
The trailer introduces us to Sidharth Malhotra as Ayan Kapoor who meets with a car accident on his way to work. He is instantly transported to Yamdodh where he’s greeted by Ajay Devgn in a stylish look who introduces himself as Chitragupt. He tells Ayan that he is somewhere between life and death and what happens next hinges on how he plays “the game of life”. We then get a glimpse of the mortal’s life and his many shortcomings. The clip also offers a glimpse of Rakul Preet Singh who plays Sidharth’s onscreen wife. And yes, there’s a Singham reference.
Thank God looks interesting as a comedy that attempts social commentary. The VFX looks pretty good and the cast is promising. Ajay Devgn was last seen in Runway34 while Sidharth Malhotra was seen in Shershaah.
Thank God is set to arrive in theatres this Diwali on October 25.
