Taapsee Pannu has her kitty full with interesting projects and all are highly anticipated films. One of her movies is Shabaash Mithu, a biopic on Indian cricketer Mithali Raj who makes a new landmark and makes India proud every time she enters the pitch. On March 12th, Mithali Raj became the second woman in international cricket and the first Indian female cricketer to score 10,000 runs. Today E Times speaks to Taapsee Pannu and gets to know her feelings about playing this champion and a living legend in the world of cricket.
The actress who will start shooting for Shaabash Mithu by end of this month, says, “I have lost count of Mithali’s landmark achievements.” Taapsee loves to get her characters right and with the biopic on the cards, she wants to make sure she plays Raj with perfection. “It was already daunting to play her on the big screen, and now, the stakes are even higher. She holds a record for her 50s. And now, she has surpassed the 10,000-run mark. She is one of the most experienced women cricketers we have right now. There is a lot of pressure to play her on screen. It was already at its maximum when she achieved this high tally,” says the actress to E Times.
We trust Taapsee Pannu and her brilliant acting skills and we are sure that this one will exceed our expectations. Taapsee is currently shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s Do Baaraa which is a thriller which also includes some time-travelling. Taapsee also has Haseen Dilruba, Rashmi Rocket, Loop Lapeta and a South film in the pipeline.
