Sweet Home 3, Gyeongseong Creature 2 and Hellbound 2 first glimpses out….

The year 2024 holds promise as several highly anticipated K-dramas are making a comeback. Our first look at Hellbound Season 2, Sweet Home Season 3, and Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 are out. In addition to the long-awaited return of Squid Game with its second season, many other series will also be back with new episodes. Sweet Home Season 2 has recently concluded, unveiling surprising revelations as the post-apocalyptic world expands into uncharted territories.

Let’s take a look at the glimpses here:

Sweet Home 3

The teaser unveils Ui-myeong’s return, but this time fans are aware that he is actually Sang-won. Fans also witnessed the reappearance of Si-a, Yi-kyung’s daughter who was born with deadly mutant abilities.

However, the most surprising revelation is the return of Yi-kyung. In Sweet Home Season 2, she was believed to have been killed by Hyun-soo when her daughter activated her monstrous gene.

The teaser also shows Dr. Lim alive and well, along with Eun-yu and Yeong-hu. The finale of the second season revealed that not everyone who is infected ends up dying and becoming a monster. The enigmatic eggs proved to be just that. Eun-hyuk emerged from his cocoon at the residential building transformed, but not as his former self. Is he now a different type of creature? The teaser for Sweet Home Season 3 also unveiled Hyun-soo with a more sinister look. Devastated by the act of killing his friend, his monstrous alter ego took control to provide him with respite.

Hellbound 2

Hellbound, a standout success post-Squid Game, offered a distinctive perspective on religion and monsters. Derived from a webtoon, this K-drama sees creatures fulfil contracts with humanity, foretelling individuals’ deaths, and claiming them when the prophecy expires. This phenomenon sparked a new world order, with societies either fearing these monsters or forming cults around them. The series concluded on a suspenseful note, revealing that those killed by the monsters had resurrected. However, a disruption occurred when the prophecy of a newborn went unfulfilled due to the sacrifice made by its parents, shattering the belief system of the established order.

The first glimpse of Hellbound Season 2 unveils ongoing power struggles between the cult-like New Truth Society and the gang-like Arrowhead group. Kim Hyun-joo returns as Min Hye-jin, the lawyer pivotal in saving the newborn. Notably, actor Kim Sung-cheol now embodies Jeong Jin-soo, the original leader of the New Truth Society, taking over from Yoo Ah-in. The teaser hints at Jin-soo’s rebirth following his previous death according to his own prophecy.

Gyeongseong Creature 2

Gyeongseong Creature was confirmed for a second season even before its premiere, indicating confidence in its potential. The finale strategically kept avenues open for further exploration of the main characters. Chae-ok’s journey concluded with her acquiring the najin, ensuring survival beyond death. Teasers included the birth of a child from the najin, and a post-credits scene hinted at Tae-sang achieving immortality and residing in modern-day Korea.

In Season 2 of Gyeongseong Creature, set in modern times, the main characters return with a strained relationship between Tae-sang and Chae-ok. They exhibit enhanced abilities, hinting at their evolved selves. A first look reveals tension, with Chae-ok expressing reluctance to get involved and Tae-sang alluding to a past event. As they clash, Chae-ok warns Tae-sang about the consequences of uncovering the truth, suggesting a connection to the najin baby grown up.
