Women Vote Smart and its treasurer, Amy Kremer, owe $20,000 in past-due fines to the Federal Election Commission for failing to submit financial reports in 2020. The FEC disclosed the latest penalty, a $7,400 fine for missing a third quarter filing, on Friday.
Through a nonprofit named Women for America First, Kremer and her daughter Kylie organized the January 6 rally that segued into the riot at the Capitol. The House select committee investigating the attack has requested any communication involving Kremer from the National Archives.
Kremer did not respond to a request for comment from Forbes.

Founded in May 2016 as Women Vote Trump, the PAC changed its title the following month, after the FEC pointed that using a candidate’s name violated campaign-finance rules.
Kremer became the PAC’s treasurer in February 2019. Prior to her taking the role, Women Vote Smart appears to have filed all of its FEC reports on time. Since she assumed responsibility for the PAC’s finances, it has failed to submit six reports, according to the FEC.
The FEC fined Women Vote Smart $7,400 in August for failing to file a financial report.
