Spherical Jewelry Has Circled Back As A Trend

Melissa Kaye 18K yellow gold and diamond Audrey Coil Ring with rounded bezels.

Jewelry ‘goes round in circles’ as spheres, orbs, curved bezels for diamonds, and handcrafted and manufactured bead and ball chains are all trending again. This three-dimensional direction has come full circle back into jewelry in different categories, from head to hands. Some of the orbs even have secrets to share inside. Could the inspiration be that the world seemed to grow slightly closer together over the past three years or that jewelry designers look to our global future with optimism? Do the constellations or the celestial trend that has been evolving have an impact on what we are seeing? Whatever the inspiration, the message is clear that certain jewelry like the earth, is, in fact, round.
