Deepti Talpade, Shreyas Talpade’s wife, shared an Instagram post updating fans on his discharge from the hospital. On Wednesday, Deepti uploaded several pictures of herself and Shreyas, alongside a heartfelt note thanking their supporters.
In her Instagram post, Deepti wrote, “My life, Shreyas, is back home… safe and sound. I used to argue with Shreyas about where to place my faith. Today, I’ve found the answer: God Almighty. He was with me that evening when this drastic event unfolded in our lives. I don’t think I’ll ever question His existence again.”
Expressing gratitude, she continued, “I want to take a moment to thank the good Samaritans of our city. When I called for help that evening, seeking assistance, I received ten helping hands. They didn’t know who they were aiding, yet they rushed to help. To all those individuals, you were like God incarnate that evening for us. Thank you. I hope my message reaches you. Know that I’ll be eternally grateful from the depths of my being. That’s the spirit of Mumbai—the kindness that defines it. We weren’t left to fend for ourselves. We were looked after.”
Deepti also extended her appreciation, saying, “I want to thank our friends, family, and the Hindi and Marathi film industries for their love and concern. Some dropped everything and stood by my side. It’s because of all of you that I wasn’t alone. I had shoulders to lean on and immense support to stay strong.”
Acknowledging the medical team, she added, “I want to thank the incredible team at Belle Vue Hospital who acted swiftly and saved my husband. The doctors, nurses, staff—everyone. No number of thank-yous can suffice for your actions.”
She concluded with gratitude for the fans and well-wishers, saying, “All the prayers, blessings, and love saw us through. God worked through each one of you, from every corner of the world, and for that, I am truly humbled and eternally grateful. Thank you.”
Shreyas had been hospitalised following a heart attack and subsequent angioplasty. The actor collapsed after completing a shoot for Welcome to the Jungle on December 14. He was swiftly taken to Bellevue Hospital in Andheri by his family.
