In an unexpected turn, Vikrant Massey has announced his retirement from acting. He made the announcement through a social media post and informed that he will not act anymore after the release of his two upcoming films in 2025.
His note read, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and everyone of you for your incredible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father and a son. And also as an actor. So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted.”
His co-star from The Sabarmati Report, Raashii Khanna took to the comment section to express shock and wrote, “What? No.” His 12th Fail co-star Medha Shankar added, “”???? What?” Several other Vikrant industry colleagues expressed their disbelief but supported his decision. Dia Mirza wrote, “Breaks are best you’ll be even more amazing on the other side.”

Vikrant Massey made his debut with the television show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom in 2007. After appearing in several hit TV shows such as Dharam Veer, Qubool Hai and Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, he made his Bollywood debut with the film Lootera. The actor has gone on to be a part of many memorable films and shows such as Dil Dhadakne Do,Chhapaak, Haseen Dillruba, 12th Fail and Sector 36. His latest film was The Sabarmati Report.
His last two films will be Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
