Shahid Kapoor is currently all gearing up for the release of his upcoming thriller film Bloody Daddy. During an event ahead of the film, Shahid stated that he doesn’t like his children Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor watching his work. He also revealed the real reason why his wife Mira Rajput wanted his kids to watch Jab We Met when it was re-released recently.
In an interview with a leading news portal, Shahid Kapoor said that he doesn’t like his kids seeing him much. In fact, his kids asked him why people come up to him since they haven’t seen much of his work. He also revealed that they watched Jab We Met recently when it came out in theatres.
He revealed that his mom took them to see the movie because Mira wanted them to watch it. He said, “She was like ‘This is one film where you are not like hitting people and doing all this intense stuff. It is a family viewing kind of film, so I want them to go and see it’. So, that actually, I think the first film of mine that they saw.”
Jab We Met was a 2007 romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film featured Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles. In February 2023, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the film was re-released in certain theatres.
Shahid’s next, Bloody Daddy also stars Diana Penty, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia, Ronit Roy and Sanjay Kapoor and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film will be released on OTT on June 9, 2023.
Meanwhile, apart from Bloody Daddy, Shahid will be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s untitled next alongside Kriti Sanon.
