Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met is one of Bollywood’s most beloved and quotable romance dramas. The film starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor was released in 2007 and fans still want to see more. That’s precisely why the idea of a sequel film is doing the rounds.
As per reports on Zoom, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan-led Jab We Met will get a sequel. The report maintains that while fans would love to see a reunion, the lead pair’s casting has not been confirmed. We also know that the chances of Imtiaz Ali returning to direct the sequel are high owing to the success of the original film.
Earlier this year, speculations of Shahid Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali reuniting for a film did the rounds of the internet. Responding to a fan’s question about the actor and director’s frequent interactions, Shahid left a critic “smart boy” hinting at an upcoming project.
At present, Kareena Kapoor Khan will soon be seen in Jaane Jaan with Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. Shahid Kapoor will star in an untitled film with Kriti Sanon and Imtiaz Ali is gearing up for Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh starrer Chamkila.
