Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made the headlines when the news broke that he was the highest Indian actor to pay a whopping tax of Rs 92 crore. The list contains surprising names, but can you guess who can be the second-highest taxpayer? Its not Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hasaan. Not too far behind in the race is Thalapathy Vijay, who has surprisingly surpassed prominent figures such as Salman Khan, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, and cricket icon Virat Kohli to pay a whopping tax of Rs 80 crore, puts him second on the list.
A report by Fortune India showed a list of actors who paid the highest taxes for the financial year 2024. SRK paid Rs 92 crore. GOAT actor Vijay paid Rs 80 crore. Salman Khan who is third on the list paid Rs 70 crore, fourth on the list is Amitabh Bachchan who paid Rs 71 as tax, and fifth on the list is former Indian captain Virat Kohli who paid Rs 66 crore.

- Shah Rukh Khan: Rs 92 crore
- Thalapathy Vijay: Rs 80 crore
- Salman Khan: Rs 75 crore
- Amitabh Bachchan: Rs 71 crore
- Virat Kohli: Rs 66 crore
- Ajay Devgn: Rs 42 crore
- MS Dhoni: Rs 38 crore
- Ranbir Kapoor: Rs 36 crore
- Hrithik Roshan, Sachin Tendulkar: Rs 28 crore
- Kapil Sharma: Rs 26 crore
Among the top 20 taxpayers, we find well-known figures such as Kapil Sharma who paid Rs 26 crore, followed by Sourav Ganguly with Rs 23 crore, and Kareena Kapoor also paid Rs 20 crore. Shahid Kapoor is not too far behind with Rs 14 crore, Hardik Pandya paid Rs 13 crore, and Kiara Advani with Rs 12 crore. Interestingly, Mohanlal and Allu Arjun both parted up with Rs 14 crore as taxes FY-24. Likewise, Pankaj Tripathi and Katrina Kaif contributed a tidy sum of Rs 11 crore each as tax FY 24.
