Presenting his five-year development model to the people of Varanasi, Prime Minister Modi said that Kashi is a confluence of ‘Science’ and ‘Sanskrit’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reached his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi and said that Kashi has now become a model of development and heritage across the globe. He also interacted with the winners of the ‘Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita’ at the Banaras Hindu University.

Presenting his five-year development model to the people of Varanasi, Prime Minister Modi said that Kashi is a confluence of ‘Science’ and ‘Sanskrit’ adding that in the coming years Kashi’s culture, heritage and development will spread twice as fast.

“Kashi is now being seen as a model of development and heritage across the world. The world is witnessing today how modernity is developed around culture and tradition,” PTI quoted the prime minister as saying in his address at the university.

“In the next five years, the country will become a model of development. This is the Modi guarantee,” he added.

‘Smile For The Photos…’: PM Modi Takes Pictures with His Constituents

Prime Minister Modi while addressing the event at BHU said that while generally people wish to take pictures with him, he wanted to click pictures with his constituents.

He said that for this, he would get down the stage and stand at every block for pictures that the photographers would click from the stage.

Asking people to “smile” for the pictures, the PM said that they can collect these pictures via the AI feature on the NaMo app. The prime minister ended his speech with the chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev.’

Kashi has Sanskrit and it has Science, the PM said over the AI feature of identifying pictures from faces on his app.

After his address to Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita winners, the prime minister also visited Sir Gobardhanpur, also known as the ‘mini Punjab’ of Varanasi.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the prime minister at the university. The BJP’s state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary was also present.

In his address, Adityanath described the prime minister as the most popular leader in the world.

Modi also unveiled the statue of Sant Guru Ravidas in Varanasi and offered floral tribute, along with UP CM Yogi Adityanth, to Sant Ravidas to commemorate the 647th birth anniversary.

Later in the evening, PM Modi is also scheduled to launch several development projects worth Rs 13,000 crore and attend public meetings where he will highlight the development record in his parliamentary constituency

To enhance Varanasi’s road connectivity, Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several road projects, including the four-laning of the Ghargra-Bridge-Varanasi section of National Highway 233 and the four-laning of the Sultanpur-Varanasi section of National Highway 56.

To provide impetus to industrial development in the region, he will also inaugurate an HPCL LPG bottling plant in Sewapuri, the Banas Kashi Sankul milk processing unit at UPSIDA Agro Park Karkhiyaon, various infrastructure work at the UPSIDA Agro Park, Karkhiyaon, and a silk fabric printing common facility centre for weavers.
