There have been reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has asked to have several scenes reshot amid the excitement around his highly anticipated web series Heeramandi. The sources even went so far as to predict that the series’ release would likely be postponed due to the reshoots. However now, sources have refuted the rumours.
Reports said that the director insisted on reshooting some of the scenes because he was dissatisfied with them. However, a source connected to the project revealed the following in a statement to ETimes: “There is no truth to these mischievous rumours. There is no re-shoot. SLB is a perfectionist and goes into details of things but he is very happy with everything.”
The reports gave rise to concerns that the series might have a release delay as a result of the reshoots, which worried the producers.
Through the tales of courtesans and their clients set against the turbulent backdrop of the 1940s Indian liberation fight, the series investigates the cultural realities of the glitzy neighbourhood of Heeramandi. Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chaddha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh are among the cast members. Fans were captivated by the series’ first look poster, which the filmmaker released early this year, and they eagerly anticipated its release.
