After the massive success of the 1991 romance drama, Sadak, Mahesh Bhatt is once again donning the hat of the director for a sequel to the film. The original starred Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. After all these years, Bhatt finalised a script for the sequel and to add to everyone’s excitement, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt will be a part of this new project too. Sadak 2 stars Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles.
Talking of reuniting with the director, Sanjay Dutt was all praise for Mahesh Bhatt. He said that nothing much has changed in his process and he still strives for perfection in each from, like he did almost three decades ago. Sanjay Dutt also said that he is excited to be a part of Mahesh Bhatt’s legacy and is looking forward for his fans to see the film.
Sadak 2 was initially supposed to release in March 2020, but was later pushed to July 10. With the lockdown in place, a further delay in release is inevitable.
