The hearing of Pushpa 2: The Rule actor Allu Arjun’s bail plea has been postponed. The actor was arrested in the Sandhya theatre stampede case earlier this month and was remanded to a 14-day judicial custody. However, he was granted an interim bail for four weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000.
The stampede was caused when Allu Arjun visited Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2. Fans rushed towards him causing a commotion. A woman named Revathi was killed in the stampede while her son is hospitalized with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, a couple of days back, Allu Arjun’s father Allu Arvind and other noted personalities from the Telugu film industry met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the stampede row. The CM remarked that celebrities must control their fans and the industry must be responsible.
