The Slim model won’t be seen at the big launch next month, say reports.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series launch is widely expected in January 2025 even though we still wait for an official date from the company. Other reports say the company will also be coming with a slimmer version called Galaxy S25 Slim which is speculated to be focusing on the sleek and slim design language.

And reports talk about the Galaxy S25 Slim model not coming to the market next month. Samsung users might have to wait till Q2 of 2025 for the Galaxy S25 Slim, which will reportedly be launched to compete with the speculated iPhone 17 Air.

The S25 lineup has been spotted in the GSMA IMEI database, by Android Authority, with model numbersSM-S931,SM-S936, andSM-S938for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra versions.

These reports were based on Samsung’s latest One UI 7 beta. It also included a list of Samsung phone m models specific to the US carriers, however, the model number for the Galaxy S25 Slim is visibly absent. This implies that the Slim will not be part of the first set of devices launching with One UI 7 based on Android 15.

It is likely that Samsung will tease Galaxy S25 Slim model at their Unpacked event in January 2025, where we could see the Galaxy Ring 2 model launch.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Features

The latest Galaxy S25 series is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Early rumours also suggest that the lineup might not come with a major camera upgrade as it is tipped to feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide camera.

The Galaxy S25 series will support Qi2 wireless charging, according to tipster Ice Universe, ensuring faster charging. The series is not going to adopt the new battery technology which means you will see a 4,000mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support as compared to the previous S24 lineup. And yes, the lineup will include the Galaxy AI features.
