Samantha Ruth Prabhu is all set to star in Shaakuntalam. The period film which also features Dev Mohan is a highly anticipated film directed by Gunasekhar. Now, the first track from the film titled Mallika Mallika has been released.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to her social media handle to share a still from Mallika Mallika. The track is sung by Mani Sharma with lyrics penned by Chaitanya Prasad. The music video unveils new stills from the film that offer a closer look at Samatha’s character.

Shaakuntalam also features Kabir Bedi, Sachin Khedekar, Prakash Raj and Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha.
The film takes inspiration from the legendary Sanskrit play by Kalidasa. Samantha will play the titular character while Dev Mohan will essay the role of King Dushyant.
