‘Noise of humans…’: Rupali Ganguly shares cryptic post after stepdaughter Esha deletes defamatory posts

Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly recently shared a mysterious message about “silencing” the “noise of humans” after she filed a Rs 50 crore defamation notice against her stepdaughter, Esha Verma. Rupali posted a quote on her Instagram story that read: “There are times when you need the silence of animals to recover from the noise of humans.” This came soon after Esha deleted all defamatory posts aimed at the actress from the social media.

Rupali took legal action against Esha, demanding Rs 50 crore in damages for allegedly making harmful claims about her character and personal life. According to the defamation notice, Rupali’s lawyer, Sana Raees Khan (who appeared on Bigg Boss 17), stated that the notice was necessary to protect Rupali’s reputation after Esha made “false and damaging statements.” The notice says Rupali was “shocked” by Esha’s posts on social media and claims that the actress suffered mental stress, on-set embarrassment, and even lost work opportunities because of the accusations. Although Rupali initially kept quiet, she decided to take legal action when her 11-year-old son was mentioned.

The notice requests Rs 50 crore from Esha as compensation, along with a public apology. If not, Rupali is prepared to take further legal steps.

The situation stems from a Reddit post that went viral, sharing parts of an old Facebook comment by Esha. In the post, Esha accused Rupali of having an affair with her father, Ashwin Verma, while he was still married to Esha’s mother, and described her as “cruel-hearted.”

Ashwin denied these claims on social media, and Esha later responded on Instagram, saying, “There’s a darker side to this story… All I ask for is compassion as it unfolds.”
