Rishab Shetty bagged the best actor at the 70th National Film Awards. The actor expressed gratitude on his win.

Rishab Shetty is currently basking in the glory of his recent win at the 70th National Film Awards. Rishab’s film Kantara bagged two major awards: the first for Best Film (Wholesome Entertainment), and the second for Best Actor, which was awarded to Rishab himself. The gripping storyline of Kantara and its strong connection to religious beliefs and folklore took the audience by surprise. The film turned out to be a major hit, collecting over Rs.450 crore at the box office.

Speaking about his big win, Rishab Shetty said, “I am truly overwhelmed by the honour of this National Award for Kantara. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey—the incredible team of artists, technicians, and especially Hombale Films. The audiences have made this film what it is, and their support fills me with a deep sense of responsibility.”

He further added, “I am committed to working even harder to bring an even better film to our viewers. With utmost respect, I dedicate this award to our Kannada audience, the Daiva Nartakas, and Appu sir. I thank the divine, as we have reached this moment through the blessings of the Daivas.”

Meanwhile, after Rishab’s win, several actors from the industry have congratulated him. Allu Arjun took to his X handle (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, “Congratulations to @shetty_rishab on your well-deserved Best Actor win for Kantara! Your mind-blowing performance is still giving me goosebumps… Also, congrats to the entire team of Kantara for winning the Best Popular Film award.”

Yash also congratulated him, saying, “Heartiest congratulations to all the winners of the National Awards.
