- The Rock is reportedly set to return to WWE in the lead up to WrestleMania 41
- 52-year-old returned to squared circle after extended absence earlier this year
- In recent months he has been filming a biopic about MMA pioneer Mark Kerr
The Rock could be set to return to the squared circle in the coming months, according to reports.
The 10-time world champion returned to wrestling earlier this year, participating in an award-winning feud with Cody Rhodes that culminated with a clash at WrestleMania.
Originally set to take on his cousin Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title, The Rock would ultimately ally with his fellow Anoa’i family member to take on Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night One of the showpiece event.
While the pair would ultimately emerge victorious, Rhodes would have the last laugh as he defeated Reigns to end his long-running title reign.
After appearing on Raw the following night The Rock has since embarked on an extended hiatus as he works on the Smashing Movie movie, a biopic of pioneering MMA fighter Mark Kerr.
The Rock could soon be set for a return to the WWE according to recent reports
The 52-year-old is said to be scheduled to come back to the ring before the end of the year
Since WrestleMania 40 he has been on hiatus to film a movie about MMA pioneer Mark Kerr
However, the 52-year-old could soon return to WWE screens according to PWN’s Discord Paywall.
Trusted sources are said to have confirmed that scheduling details have been leaked that seem to indicate the Final Boss could soon return to the ring.
In his most recent appearance the Rock seemed to indicate his story with Rhodes is not yet finished.
A clash between the pair could serve as the perfect headliner for next year’s WrestleMania set to be staged at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
