Ravi Kishan reacts to Laapataa Ladies’ exit from the Oscars 2025 race


The Oscars shortlist was unveiled recently and India’s entry, Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies did not make the cut. The Academy’s decision has left many disappointed. Now, Ravi Kishan has shared his reaction to the news.

Ravi Kishan reacted to Laapataa Ladies’ exit from the Oscars 2025 race. In an interview with a leading news portal, the actor shared that he genuinely believed that the film had a shot at winning an Oscar for India.

When asked if he got the chance to talk to Kiran Rao, the actor shared that she must be “disheartened.” Calling her his “lucky charm” he credited her with bringing him back to the limelight.

In Laapataa Ladies, Ravi Kishan played the role of sub-inspector Shyam Manohar. The film features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Shrivastava in key roles. It is currently streaming on OTT.
