Rani Mukerji recently took centre stage at the Australian Parliament, where she expressed her pride in representing Indian cinema ahead of the Indian Film Festival Melbourne (IFFM). During her speech, Rani revealed her dream of collaborating with global stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, alongside her longtime co-star Shah Rukh Khan. She shared her aspirations, saying she is manifesting these exciting projects, which would blend the talents of Bollywood and Hollywood.
Rani, speaking alongside director Karan Johar, emphasised the deep cultural ties between India and Australia. She highlighted the power of cinema in uniting people, stating that Indian films have always brought families and communities together, both in India and across the globe.
“There’s no better time than now to tell our shared stories,” Rani said, envisioning a future where Indian and Australian cinema work hand in hand to create vibrant, impactful films that resonate worldwide.
