Dulquer Salmaan will star in Kaantha, which he will produce alongside Rana Daggubati from Baahubali.
Selvamani Selvaraj, whose debut feature Nila (2016) won the audience award at the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival, will direct the film. The Hunt for Veerappan, a documentary series directed by Selvaraj, will premiere on OTT on August 4. He also worked with Ang Lee on Life of Pi.
The plot of Kaantha is being kept under wraps, but Salmaan will be featured in a “never seen before role.” On the occasion of Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday, the project was revealed.

Dulquer Salmaan will appear in Raj and DK’s upcoming OTT series Guns & Gulaabs.
Kaantha will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil.
