Pushpa 2: The Rule star Allu Arjun has been arrested in the stampede case that led to the death of a woman and left her son injured. During the premiere of his film earlier this month, the actor made a surprise visit to the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The unexpected visit led to the stampede on December 4 that claimed the life of Revathi. The stampede was caused due to alleged poor crowd management.
As per the police, “The theatre management did not make any additional provisions regarding security to manage the crowd nor was there any separate entry or exit for the actor’s team though the theatre management had information about their arrival.”

The police arrested the actor from his residence while his family members were present. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has filed a plea to quash the FIR and requested a stay on all further proceedings.
