Amitabh Bachchan has earned several awards and accolades in his decades long career in the film industry. He has won five National Film Awards, 15 Filmfare awards, and several awards at international film festivals. The government of India bestowed upon him the Padma Shri in 1984, Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015. In 2018, he was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
A grand celebration has begun to mark Big B‘s 80th birthday. The megastar is expected to visit Tirupati temple with family. An 18-city retrospective and exhibition called ‘Bachchan: Back to the Beginning’ is being held from October 8 to 11. As a part of the 4-day event, Big B’s films, including ‘Don’ were screened on Saturday at PVR Juhu, Mumbai. B-Town stars lined up last night to watch ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ at the theatres. His first look poster from his upcoming film ‘Uunchai’ was unveiled yesterday.
Big B was recently seen on the big screen in ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Goodbye’. He will soon be seen in ‘Uunchai’, ‘Project K’ and ‘The Intern’ remake.
